James Dean
James Dean was an American actor who became one of the most influential figures in Hollywood during the 1950s, despite a career lasting only five years. He starred in three major films—East of Eden (1955), Rebel Without a Cause (1955), and Giant (1956)—and became a cultural icon of teenage disillusionment and social estrangement. He was killed in a car accident on September 30, 1955, at age 24.
