James Dawes

James Dawes is the DeWitt Wallace Professor of English and Creative Writing at Macalester College, where he teaches narrative across the disciplines. His scholarship focuses on human rights, artificial intelligence, the ethics of storytelling, American literature, and literature and philosophy. He is the founder and director of the Program in Human Rights and Humanitarianism and has authored several books, including The Novel of Human Rights, Evil Men, That the World May Know, and The Language of War.
