James Carroll
James Carroll is an American author, historian, journalist, and former Catholic priest known for novels, memoirs, and nonfiction on Catholicism, religion, war, and history. Born in Chicago in 1943, he was raised in Washington, D.C., later left the priesthood to become a full-time writer, and has also written a long-running column for The Boston Globe.
