James C. Lester

James C. Lester is the Goodnight Distinguished University Professor in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and Director of the Center for Educational Informatics at North Carolina State University.[1][2][3] He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Austin in 1994 and is a Fellow of the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AAAI).[1][2] His research focuses on AI-driven learning technologies, including intelligent game-based learning environments, multimodal learning analytics, affective computing, and natural language tutorial dialogue.[1][3]
