Jairo Anibal Nino ,
Jairo Aníbal Niño (1941–2010) was a renowned Colombian writer, celebrated for his contributions to children's and youth literature, as well as theater, poetry, and adult narratives. Born in Moniquirá, Boyacá, he initially pursued painting and acting before becoming a playwright and author, drawing inspiration from his life experiences, Colombian landscapes, and social issues. He directed the National Library of Colombia, won the Colombian National Literature Award in 1977, and authored notable works like Zoro and Las bodas de lata.
