Jagadis Chandra Bose
Jagadish Chandra Bose (1858-1937) was a pioneering Indian scientist who made groundbreaking contributions to radio and microwave optics, inventing the first solid-state diode detector and advancing wireless communication. He also revolutionized plant physiology by demonstrating plants' sensitivity to stimuli using the crescograph and founded the Bose Institute in 1917, Asia's first interdisciplinary research center. Known as the father of Bengali science fiction, he overcame racial discrimination to become the first Indian elected Fellow of the Royal Society in 1920.[1][2][3]
