Jacques Lowe

Jacques Lowe (born Jascha Lülsdorf; January 24, 1930 – May 12, 2001) was a German-American photographer and publisher best known as the official photographer for U.S. President John F. Kennedy during his 1960 election campaign and presidency[1][2]. Born in Cologne, Germany, he fled the Nazis as a child, survived the Holocaust by hiding with his mother, and immigrated to New York in 1949, where he later became Kennedy's personal photographer[1][7]. His iconic images of the Kennedy family documented the era known as 'Camelot' and resulted in six books, numerous exhibitions, and over 150 major magazine pieces[2][5].
