Jacques Bainville

Jacques Bainville (1879–1936) was a French historian, journalist, and political writer, renowned for his nationalist and monarchist views as a leading figure in Action Française. He authored influential works such as History of France (1924) and critiqued the Treaty of Versailles in The Political Consequences of Peace (1920), emphasizing Franco-German relations and conservative ideals. Elected to the Académie française in 1935, he died shortly thereafter.
