Jackie Kay
Jackie Kay is a Scottish poet, novelist, playwright, and short-story writer known for exploring identity, family, race, and sexuality in her work. Born in Edinburgh in 1961 and adopted by a white Scottish couple, she is widely known for books such as The Adoption Papers, Trumpet, and Red Dust Road, and served as Scotland’s Makar from 2016 to 2021.
