Jack Witherspoon

Jack Witherspoon is a chef and philanthropist who gained fame as a three-time leukemia survivor, first diagnosed at age two, with recurrences at six and eleven requiring a bone marrow transplant.[1][2][3][5] He discovered his passion for cooking at six while hospitalized and watching the Food Network, later authoring the cookbook 'Twist It Up' and inventing Skonies, a cookie-scone hybrid, to raise funds for cancer research.[1][3][4][5] Named the Leukemia Lymphoma Society's Boy of the Year in 2015, he has appeared on shows like Rachael Ray and funded a room at Miller Children's Hospital.[1][5]
