Jack Schafer

Jack Warner Schaefer was an American writer best known for his Western novels, especially *Shane*, which became a classic of both literature and film. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, he worked as a newspaper editor, feature writer, and reviewer before turning to fiction in the 1940s and publishing nearly 30 books.[1][2][6]
