Jack McCormac
Jack C. McCormac was a distinguished civil engineering professor at Clemson University for 36 years, where he authored seven influential textbooks on structural analysis, steel design, reinforced concrete, and surveying, adopted by over 500 colleges worldwide and translated into multiple languages.[3][4] A graduate of The Citadel (B.S. 1948) and MIT (M.S. 1949), he was honored as a titan of engineering education and inducted into the Citadel Engineering Academy.[3] He died at age 93 on June 3, leaving a lasting legacy in engineering scholarship.[4]
