Jack Higgins
Henry Patterson, known by his pen name Jack Higgins, was a prolific British author of best-selling thrillers and espionage novels, born on July 27, 1929, in Newcastle upon Tyne, England, and raised partly in Belfast and Northern Ireland. His breakthrough novel *The Eagle Has Landed* (1975), about a Nazi plot to kidnap Winston Churchill, sold over 50 million copies and was adapted into a successful film. He wrote full-time after teaching, producing numerous works until his death on April 9, 2022.[1][2][4]
