Jack C Richards

Jack C. Richards, born in New Zealand, is an internationally renowned applied linguist and educator specializing in second and foreign language teaching. He earned an MA with first-class honours from Victoria University in Wellington in 1966 and a PhD in Applied Linguistics from Laval University in Quebec in 1972, holding academic positions at institutions including the University of Hawaii, City University of Hong Kong, and University of Auckland before retiring from full-time teaching in 1999. Author of over 150 books and articles, including widely used series like Interchange, he is currently an honorary professor at the University of Sydney and University of Auckland.
