J. R. Pole

J.R. Pole, also known as Jack Richon Pole, was a British historian of the United States whose career spanned more than 50 years. He served as the Rhodes Professor Emeritus of American History and Institutions at the University of Oxford and authored works such as Political Representation in England and the Origins of the American Republic[1][3]. He died in Oxford on January 30, 2010, at the age of 87[2][3].
