J Nichols

John Nichols (1940–2023) was an American novelist and nonfiction writer best known for works set in Northern New Mexico, including *The Milagro Beanfield War* and *The Sterile Cuckoo*. His fiction and essays often explored place, politics, and rural life, and he published more than 20 works over his career.
