J. Malcolm Shick

J. Malcolm Shick is Professor Emeritus of Zoology and Oceanography at the University of Maine, where he conducted research on marine invertebrates, especially the ecological physiology of symbiotic cnidarians such as corals and sea anemones. He is the author of Where Corals Lie: A Natural and Cultural History, a widely noted book on the natural and cultural history of corals.
