Janani K. Jha, formerly known as J. Maya, is an American singer-songwriter, performer, and author from California's Bay Area who graduated with honors from Harvard College in 2020 and deferred Harvard Law School to pursue music.[1][2][4] Her career launched with the viral TikTok hit 'Achilles Heel' in 2021, inspired by Greek mythology, and she has since gained millions of followers, released music like the EP 'Poetic License,' and appeared as Aphrodite in EPIC: The Musical while competing on Survivor 45 in 2023.[1][2][3][5]
