John Hart is a New York Times bestselling author of literary thrillers including The King of Lies, Down River, The Last Child, Iron House, Redemption Road, and The Hush. He is the only author to win the Best Novel Edgar Award for two consecutive novels and has received numerous other awards such as the Barry Award and Southern Book Prize. A former defense attorney and stockbroker born and raised in North Carolina, he now writes full-time from a farm in Virginia.[1][2][6][7]
