J. Farmer
Philip José Farmer was an American science fiction and fantasy author best known for his *World of Tiers* and *Riverworld* series, pioneering the use of sexual and religious themes in the genre. His breakthrough came with the 1952 novella *The Lovers*, which depicted interspecies romance and earned him a Hugo Award for Best New Author in 1953. Over his career, he published over 75 books, won multiple awards including three Hugos, and was named a Grand Master by the SFWA in 2001.
