J B (Joseph Burr) 1858-1957 Tyrrell
Joseph Burr Tyrrell (1858–1957) was a Canadian geologist, explorer, surveyor, and historian who discovered Albertosaurus dinosaur bones and coal deposits in Alberta's Badlands in 1884[4][7]. He joined the Canadian Geological Survey in 1881 and conducted extensive explorations across northern Canada, including the Northwest Territories and Hudson Bay, before becoming a mining engineer and mine owner[4][5]. Tyrrell died in Toronto, Ontario on August 26, 1957, at the age of 98[4][7].
