Isla Hodgson

Dr. Isla Hodgson is a marine social scientist specializing in human-wildlife conflict, ocean governance, fisheries, and marine spatial planning. She studied marine science at the University of Aberdeen, earned a Master's on minke whale habitat use in Scottish waters, and completed a PhD focused on conservation conflict management. She works as a research scientist for the Save Our Seas Foundation, freelances for BBC natural history programs, and lives on the west coast of Scotland.
