Isabel Miller

Isabel Miller was the pen name of Alma Routsong (1924–1996), an American novelist best known for pioneering lesbian fiction. After initially publishing heterosexual novels, she later became active in the Gay Liberation movement and wrote the landmark novel A Place for Us, later republished as Patience and Sarah, which became a classic of lesbian literature.
