Ingmar Grenthe
Ingmar Rolfsson Grenthe was a Swedish chemist born in Jönköping, who earned his PhD from Lund University in 1964 and became professor of inorganic chemistry at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm in 1975. He specialized in solution coordination chemistry and chemical modeling of complex aqueous systems, supervising numerous graduate students, publishing about 150 scientific papers, and holding around ten patents. Grenthe served as a member of the Nobel Committee for Chemistry and edited Nobel lectures in chemistry.
