Ignatius Donnelly

Ignatius Donnelly (1831–1901) was an American politician, reformer, novelist, and popular writer best known for his speculative works on Atlantis and the authorship of Shakespeare's plays. He also played a significant role in 19th-century reform politics, serving in Congress and later becoming associated with the Populist movement.
