Ian Allan
Ian Allan (1922–2015) was a British publisher who specialized in transport titles, founding Ian Allan Publishing in 1942 and becoming known as the 'Father of Trainspotting' for popularizing the hobby through his engine number booklets. He was awarded the OBE in 1995 for his contributions to transport publishing and remained a passionate advocate for rail and model railways throughout his life.
