Hutchins

William M. Hutchins is an American academic, author, and award-winning translator of contemporary Arabic literature, best known for his translation of Naguib Mahfouz's Cairo Trilogy. He was a professor in the Department of Philosophy and Religion at Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina, and is now professor emeritus. Educated at Berea, Yale, and the University of Chicago, he continues to translate prolifically into his late 70s.[1][2][6][8]
