Hugh Johnson
Hugh Johnson is the world's best-selling wine writer and author of the seminal World Atlas of Wine (1971) and the annual Pocket Wine Book (1977). Born in London in 1939 and educated at King's College Cambridge, Johnson began his career as a feature writer for Vogue and House & Garden before becoming renowned for making wine accessible through his witty and approachable writing style. He has received numerous accolades including being named Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 2007.
