Hubert Jedin

Hubert Jedin was a German Catholic priest and church historian, best known for his landmark multi-volume history of the Council of Trent. Born in Upper Silesia, he was later forced out of academic life by the Nazi regime, spent years researching in Rome, and taught Church history at the University of Bonn from 1949 to 1965.
