Howard Shore

Howard Shore is a Canadian composer, conductor, and orchestrator renowned for his film scores, including those for over 80 films such as The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit trilogies, and long-term collaborations with directors David Cronenberg and Martin Scorsese. Born in Toronto, he studied at Berklee College of Music, served as musical director for Saturday Night Live from 1975 to 1980, and has won three Academy Awards, among numerous other honors.
