Hisham Khatib
Hisham Khatib (1936–2022) was a Jordanian politician, electrical engineer, economist, and author renowned for his expertise in energy policy and the cultural history of the Levant. He served in multiple ministerial roles, including as Jordan's first Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, and contributed to modernizing the country's electrical infrastructure. Khatib authored books such as 'Palestine and Egypt under Ottomans: Paintings, Books, Photographs, Maps and Manuscripts' (2003) and 'Jerusalem, Palestine and Jordan: Images of the Holy Land' (2013), documenting art, maps, and photographs from Ottoman Palestine, Jordan, and Egypt.
