Smith is a former Bainbridge Island resident who writes for young adults, known for her novels Wild Awake (2013) and A Sense of the Infinite (2015), as well as her non-fiction work Welcome to the Jungle (2010) about bipolar disorder. She is also a Senior Editor at Hierophant Publishing, self-help ghostwriter, and book coach who teaches workshops on self-help and spirituality writing.
