Herb Rappaport

Herbert Rappaport (1908–1983), known in the Soviet Union as Gerbert Moritsevich Rappaport, was an Austrian-Soviet screenwriter and film director. Born in Vienna to Jewish parents from Lemberg, he studied law before moving into film work and, after being invited to the Soviet Union in 1936, spent the rest of his career there directing and writing films.
