Henry Kamen

Henry Arthur Kamen is a British historian born in Rangoon, British Burma, in 1936, renowned for his extensive scholarship on Spain and the Spanish Empire, particularly the Spanish Inquisition.[1][2] He earned his degrees from Oxford University and held academic positions at the University of Edinburgh, University of Warwick, and as a professor at the Higher Council for Scientific Research in Barcelona, where he is now emeritus.[2][3] Kamen has authored influential works such as *The Spanish Inquisition* (1965, revised 1998) and *Empire: How Spain Became a Great Power, 1492-1763*, challenging the 'Black Legend' of Spanish history.[1][2][3]
