Henry C Sheldon

Henry Clay Sheldon (1845–1928) was an American Methodist theologian and prolific writer known for his works on Christian history, doctrine, and critiques of movements like New Thought, Theosophy, Christian Science, and Mormonism. He earned his B.A. (1867) and M.A. (1870) from Yale University, served as a pastor in Vermont and Maine, studied at Leipzig University, and was Professor of Systematic Theology at Boston University from 1875 until his retirement in 1921.
