Helmut Sigel

Helmut Sigel is Professor Emeritus (2003) of Inorganic Chemistry at the University of Basel, Switzerland, where he served as Dozent since 1967.[1] He is renowned for editing the extensive 'Metal Ions in Biological Systems' series from 1973 to 2004, spanning 44 volumes on bioinorganic chemistry.[3][4] Sigel also contributed as a previous editor of the Metal Ions in Life Sciences (MILS) series.[4]
