Helen Thomas
Helen Thomas was an American journalist and pioneering member of the White House press corps who covered ten U.S. presidents from John F. Kennedy through Barack Obama's second year in office. Known as the 'dean of the White House Press Corps,' she broke numerous barriers for women in journalism, becoming the first female White House correspondent for a major news service and the first woman to serve as chief of UPI's White House bureau. She authored six books and was recognized as one of the 25 most influential women in America.
