Helen Cresswell
Helen Cresswell (1934–2005) was an English author and television scriptwriter best known for more than 100 children's books, especially her comic and supernatural stories. Her best-known series include Lizzie Dripping and The Bagthorpe Saga, both of which were adapted for television.
