Heber Chase Kimball

Heber Chase Kimball (1801–1868) was an early leader in the Latter Day Saint movement, ordained as one of the original members of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles in 1835 and serving as first counselor to Brigham Young in the First Presidency from 1847 until his death. A blacksmith and potter by trade, he led the first Latter-day Saint missionaries to Great Britain in 1837–1838, converting thousands, and participated in the pioneer trek to Salt Lake Valley in 1847.[1][2][3]
