Heather Rose Jones

Heather Rose Jones is an American author of fantasy novels, best known for her Alpennia series set in an alternate Regency era featuring swordswomen, magic, and queer women's lives. She holds a PhD in linguistics from the University of California, Berkeley, specializing in metaphor theory and Medieval Welsh prepositions, and is a retired industrial failure investigator in biotech. Her novel Mother of Souls won the 2017 Gaylactic Spectrum Award, with earlier books in the series as finalists, and she hosts the Lesbian Historic Motif Podcast.
