Hasbro is an American toy company that developed the My Little Pony toyline and media franchise, with the first toys created by Bonnie Zacherle, Charles Muenchinger, and Steve D'Aguanno in 1981.[1] The franchise expanded from toys featuring colorful ponies with cutie marks to animated specials, films, TV series, comics, and games, achieving massive success despite periodic discontinuations.[1][4] Hasbro continues to produce My Little Pony merchandise and announced a live-action adaptation in 2025.[1]
