Harry Turtledove
Harry Turtledove is an American historian and prolific author best known as the 'Master of Alternate History,' specializing in alternate history, historical fiction, fantasy, science fiction, and mystery.[1][4] Born in Los Angeles, he earned a Ph.D. in Byzantine history from UCLA in 1977 after attending Caltech and began publishing fantasy novels in 1979 under pseudonyms like Eric Iverson.[3][6] He has won awards including the Hugo for Best Novella and continues writing from Southern California.[1][4]
