Harriet A Washington

Harriet A. Washington is an American writer, journalist, and medical ethicist known for exploring race, medicine, and bioethics. Her award-winning book Medical Apartheid examines the history of medical experimentation on Black Americans, and her later work A Terrible Thing to Waste addresses environmental racism and its effects on health and cognition.
