Harold E. Palmer

Harold Edward Palmer was an English linguist, phonetician, and pioneer in teaching English as a second language, particularly known for developing the Oral Method. He significantly contributed to the development of applied linguistics in the 20th century and is regarded as a founder of the British school of linguistics alongside Daniel Jones[1][7].
