Hans Wilhelm Alt

Hans Wilhelm Alt is a German mathematician born in 1945 in Hilden, specializing in partial differential equations and their applications to mechanics and thermodynamics.[1][2] His research focuses on free boundary value problems for elliptic and hyperbolic partial differential equations.[1] He is associated with the Technical University of Munich as an honorary professor in mathematical model building.[4]
