H P Blavatsky
Helena Petrovna Blavatsky, known as Madame Blavatsky, was a Russian mystic, author, and co-founder of the Theosophical Society in 1875, which promoted a synthesis of science, religion, and philosophy.[1][2] She authored influential works like Isis Unveiled (1877) and The Secret Doctrine (1888), drawing from esoteric traditions including Hermeticism and Neoplatonism.[1][4] After extensive travels, she settled in London, where she continued writing until her death in 1891.[2][4]
