H. L. Richardson

Henry Handel Richardson was the pen name of Ethel Florence Lindesay Richardson, an Australian novelist born in Melbourne in 1870. She is known for works such as *Maurice Guest*, *The Getting of Wisdom*, and *The Fortunes of Richard Mahony*, and is regarded as a major figure in early 20th-century Australian literature.[2][5][7]
