H. J Blackham

Harold John Blackham (1903-2009) was a leading British humanist philosopher, writer, and educationalist, widely recognized as the progenitor and architect of modern humanism in Britain. He founded The Plain View journal in 1944, served as the first Director of the British Humanist Association (1963-1968), and co-founded the International Humanist and Ethical Union, dedicating his life to advancing humanist values and social reform.
