Guy N Smith
Guy N. Smith (1939-2020) was a prolific British author best known for his pulp horror novels, including the debut Werewolf by Moonlight (1974) and the massively successful Crabs series starting with Night of the Crabs (1976), which spawned multiple sequels featuring giant man-eating crabs. Encouraged by his mother, historical novelist E.M. Weale, he published his first story at age 12 and over 100 books alongside thousands of articles, later diversifying into children's books, thrillers under pseudonyms, and extensive countryside journalism. He went full-time as a writer after Night of the Crabs' success, maintaining a cult following until his death at 81.
