Guido van Genechten (Illustrator)

Guido van Genechten, born in 1957 in Mol, Belgium, is a Flemish author and illustrator renowned worldwide for his picture books aimed at toddlers and preschoolers, featuring characters like the floppy-eared rabbit Rikki.[1][2][5] After studying typography and working in the graphic industry, he attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Mol for drawing, painting, graphics, and photography, launching his publishing career in 1995 with 'In het donker' and earning awards such as the 1998 International Illustrator's Award of Hasselt and the 2007 Reader's Digest Award.[1][2][7]
